如果用中文搜索生命的长度、宽度和高度，会出来众多心灵鸡汤和励志格言，但大部分解读都是，生命的长度是指寿命，宽度是肚量，高度是追求。其实生命的三个维度是马丁路德金在1967年一次布道中提出来的。他所指的生命的长度是自爱，是接受自己和自己的能力，是努力去实现自己的目标和梦想。生命的宽度是关爱他人，高度就是向上寻求神。
